Test Overview - English Reading Comprehension Basics (LITE)

Our English Reading Comprehension assessment measures reading comprehension at a basic skill level. This assessment is comprised of items that contain textual passages that must be read throughly in order to understand the question being asked. 

Questions focus on a candidate's ability to demonstrate an understanding of the passage, with questions which may be specific in nature, and includes answers that can be found almost literally in a given passage. Questions may request dates, places or names that are found by closely reading through the passage text. Alternatively, questions may be much broader, with answers that can be derived only by fully understanding the meaning of the passage (eg. "What is the author's mood?").
